ANNONCE: Candidature de Mathieu Bouchard pour deuxième vice-président de l'ABC

IMK's Mathieu Bouchard has announced his candidacy for 2nd Vice-President of the Canadian Bar Association with the following words:

Chères consœurs, chers confrères,

Voilà maintenant 12 ans que je m’implique activement au sein de l’Association du Barreau canadien. Souhaitant contribuer à bâtir une association plus forte, j’ai discuté avec plusieurs d’entre vous depuis un an de la possibilité de me présenter au poste de deuxième vice-président de l’ABC, en vue des élections qui auront lieu en 2016. C’est maintenant chose faite : mon bulletin de mise en candidature a été déposé et ma candidature confirmée par la direction générale.

Je compte poursuivre la discussion avec vous et d’autres membres de l’ABC dans les semaines et les mois à venir afin de mériter votre confiance de sorte que tous ensemble nous soyons en mesure de relever les nombreux défis auxquels notre association fait face. Car une chose est certaine : notre profession et notre société ont tout à gagner d’une ABC forte!

J’espère donc pouvoir compter sur votre appui dans cette course à venir.

I have been actively involved with the Canadian Bar Association for 12 years now. As I wish to contribute to build a stronger association, I have discussed with many of you over the last year my potential candidacy for CBA Second Vice-President for the 2016 election. I am pleased to inform you that I have submitted my nomination form and that my candidacy has now been approved by management.

Over the following weeks and months, I intend to pursue the conversation with you and other CBA members, and earn your trust so that together we can meet the challenges currently facing our association. Because one thing is sure: our profession and our society win when the CBA is strong!
